Terms of Service & Piano Service Agreement

Draft — pending review by a Florida attorney and owner approval. Version 2026-10-14-draft-1. This plain-language draft is provided for transparency and is not legal advice.

1. Who we are

Maestro Piano is a piano tuning and repair service operated by Aviv FL Corp, 21130 NE 18th Court, Miami, FL 33179 ("we", "us"). Contact: WhatsApp / phone +1 305-613-9555.

These terms describe how we provide in-home piano tuning, calibration, assessment and repair services to you ("you", the customer). By booking, you confirm you are the piano owner or are authorized by the owner to arrange service.

2. Services and prices

Appointment prices are shown on the booking page before you pay and are one-time charges: standard tuning & calibration $250 (including travel within our listed South Florida service area), premium first appointment $300 for large, concert or unusually complex pianos, and follow-up tuning & calibration $180. No subscription or recurring charge is created, and we do not add a card processing fee or surcharge.

Parts, hammer replacement, regulation beyond the included tuning/calibration, repairs, refinishing and restoration are not included. They are quoted separately after inspection.

3. Assessment, estimates and your authorization

At the visit the technician assesses the piano’s condition and whether the requested work is feasible. Any estimate is based on what can be seen and tested at that time and may change if hidden conditions are found.

We will not perform or charge for additional repairs, parts or work beyond the booked service without your prior approval. If new findings change an estimate, we will explain them and ask before continuing.

The technician may decline, pause or stop work that is unsafe, not feasible, or likely to cause damage given the piano’s condition (for example, severe rust, cracked components or an unsafe work area). We will explain why.

4. Older and neglected pianos: foreseeable risks

Pianos are made of wood, felt, leather and metal under high string tension, and South Florida humidity accelerates wear. With older, neglected or long-untuned pianos, some outcomes can occur even when the work is done carefully and correctly:

• Rusted, corroded or fatigued strings may break during normal tuning. • Aged or loose tuning pins, cracked bridges or pinblocks, and worn action parts may fail or fail to hold. • A piano far below standard pitch may not safely reach A440 (concert pitch) in one visit, and pitch may be unstable afterward, requiring follow-up visits. • Pre-existing defects such as cracks, sticking keys, finish damage, buzzing or worn felts may remain or become more noticeable.

We cannot guarantee that a particular piano will reach or hold concert pitch, or that a repair or restoration will succeed, because results depend on the instrument’s existing condition. We will tell you about significant risks we can identify before starting.

5. What we ask you to tell us

Please tell us before the visit (in the booking notes or by WhatsApp) about known problems: when the piano was last tuned, recent moves, water or humidity exposure, broken strings, sticking keys, pests, previous repairs, and any access requirements for your building or community.

Please provide safe access to the piano, a clear work area, and reasonable lighting, and keep children and pets clear during service.

6. Condition notes and photographs

With your permission, the technician may take condition notes and photographs of the piano (not of people or unrelated areas of your home) before and after service, to document its condition and the work performed. You can decline photographs; we will rely on written notes instead. We use these records only for your service and any related question or dispute.

7. Our responsibility

We will perform services with reasonable care and skill. If damage is caused by our negligence, we are responsible for it, and we will work with you to repair it, arrange repair, or otherwise make it right.

We are not responsible for the foreseeable inherent outcomes described in section 4, or for pre-existing deterioration and defects, when they are not caused by our negligence. This distinction is assessed honestly case by case, using condition notes and photographs where available.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes liability for gross negligence, intentional misconduct, or any right you have under Florida or federal law that cannot be waived. These terms are not a blanket release of liability.

8. Rescheduling, cancellation and refunds

To change or cancel, message us on WhatsApp at +1 305-613-9555 as early as possible with your name and appointment time.

If we cannot honor a paid appointment time (for example, the time can no longer be reserved), your payment is refunded automatically. If we need to cancel, you may choose a new time or a full refund.

OWNER DECISION NEEDED: cancellation notice period, refund amount for customer cancellations/no-shows, and handling of lateness or inaccessible pianos are not yet established. Until approved, customer cancellations are handled case by case and no cancellation fee is charged.

9. Questions, complaints and disputes

If you are not satisfied or believe the piano was damaged during service, please contact us as soon as possible — ideally within 7 days — by WhatsApp at +1 305-613-9555 with a description and photos. Contacting us later does not remove any right you have by law.

We will respond, review the condition notes, and where appropriate offer a return visit to inspect or correct the work. We aim to resolve concerns fairly and directly. If we cannot agree, you remain free to use any remedy available to you, including small claims court or a consumer complaint to the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. Nothing here requires arbitration or waives class or jury rights.

OWNER/ATTORNEY DECISION NEEDED: confirm the complaint window wording, any warranty on workmanship, and governing-law/venue language.

10. Payment

Online payments are processed by PayPal. An appointment is confirmed only after payment is verified and the time is saved on our calendar. A receipt is available after a verified payment. Sales tax treatment is shown on the receipt and is subject to owner/accountant confirmation.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version you accepted at booking applies to that appointment. The current version and date are shown at the top of this page.
